Question on fictional names

I haven't played fictional as much as some here and haven't done a fictional league in a while. Have a question regarding the name sets.

Didn't there used to be a U.S. Historical selection in the Nation Editor? All I'm seeing in OOTP17 is U.S. Modern and African-American.

I was going to set up a league in the 1940s, but the U.S. Modern name set does not seem to reflect that time period at all.

Does anyone else set up fictional leagues in earlier 1900s, and what do you use for more accurate name sets?

I would try Questdog's names that he has in the mods forum. It has different era's and they still work with 17. He has also included a readme with detailed instructions.

google search with "ootp" attached - will work better than forum search tool.

i'm pretty sure there are homemade ones. possibly on addons central, but possibly just in forums too... i've likely read titles of such posts but would never read the forum post becuase of lack of interest. so, i can't be 100% certain.

edit: heh, i guess it took 5mins to write this or something was delayed.... anyway, what craft said.

I do not have a set made that will work well for the '40's. I have 1870 and 1970 sets.

Someday.

You can import the default name file from OOTP16 if you are interested in using those names, but be sure to use its ethnicities.txt file or else all of your players will be dark skinned.
