Starting a dynasty. Your opinions

I am going to start a dynasty. And wanted to get some opinions on who to use. Something in a modern day league. I like the idea of building up a team but I also like to have success right away. So I want some opinions of what team to use. All feedback is greatly appreciated and the dynasty will probably start tonight

It depends on what your criteria are. At the top of my list is an owner who will get the hell out of my way and write paychecks. The Diamondbacks are usually good for that.

well obviously I want an owner who is going to be decent. but its not a huge factor for me. I jat am looking for team suggestions with a little reasoning behind them

I say the pirates because of the exciting young MLers are prospects that haven't made it yet. The real challenge is resigning them all

if you are going to win the WS often, play the Tigers...

why? because i am a tigers fan..

if you lose alot... don't play with the tigers, please.

Would say the Cubs or Washington Nationals would be a good place to start a dynasty due to their up and coming staying power. Detroit will only be good for a year or 2 and on the downswing (already are in real life starting last season)

Marlins?

They have a few nice pieces and look like they would be fun to rebuild. You'd have a ton of challenge winning that division and the Cubs would keep you busy in the LCS for awhile.

I have yet to have any success with the Tigers yet! The upcoming free agent pools aren't very deep to add talent so most of your hope is through draft and trades since their farm system is devoid of talent for the most part, they are a real challenge!

Approaching July 31, if I am near the wild card race I won't touch the team, but if I am even 5+ games out I'll usually deal JD Mart and anyone else I can for whatever I can, though even freeing up space doesn't help too much as I mentioned the classes aren't that great.
