How to Sign a Free Agent?

I recently completed our inaugural draft and accidentally drafted a player on the wrong team. I released him, and want to add him to the correct roster, but, can't seem to figure it out. I have financials off, but it asked me to make an offer, so I did, but now I don't see any option to add him.

Go into Commissioner Mode - From the Manager Screen, select "Control and Auto-Play settings" then tick the Commissioner Mode box.

Go to the player's screen.

Choose "Editor" (the last choice on the right)

On the left-hand side, scroll down until you see "Team Information, Select New Team". Use the drop-down boxes to select the correct league and team for that player.

Go back and untick the Commissioner Mode box if you don't want these god-like powers anymore.

Thanks! I was in commissioner mode, didn't know about the team selection in the player editor. Very helpful, thank you.

I wanted to bring this back up as I'm having some issues - I'll assign guys through the editor and they show up on the team, for a couple days, then go back to the free agent pool. Same happens when I try to assign retired players as staff members.

It's like the game isn't saving the assignment. This is for an online league, if it matters.
