Do you see a pattern(CBA Standings)?
First things first-I don't do screen shots.
Current CBA Standings (214 total teams,2 conference's) Teams have played anywhere from 85-112 games (estimated). American Conference East Division 7. New York Islanders(48-43) 8. New York Giants(45-43) 9. Philadelphia Flyers(42-46) 10. Philadelphia Eagles(41-51) AP East Division 8. New Jersey Rockets(35-54) 9. New Jersey Stallions (23-67) AP Central Division 1. Minneapolis Bruins(63-30) 2. Minnesota Vikings(58-54) AP Canadian Division 6. Montreal Canadiens(48-43) 7. Montreal Beavers(44-41) National Conference Far West Division 1. Sacramento Senators(56-35) 2. Sacramento Gold(51-40) 5. Los Angeles Toros(44-44) 6. Los Angeles Rams 46-47) Same Division, same city, different nickname, right next too each other in standings. These are teams that aren't next too each other: Eastern Conference Central Division 6. Tampa-St. Petersburg Thunder 12. Tampa Toros AP Central Division 5. Chicago Hornets 8. Chicago Owls 10. Minnesota Rangers(weren't next to Vikings or Bruins in standings) AP Canadian 1. Toronto Marlies 8. Toronto Huskies Western Conference Far West Division 10. Los Angeles Wolves(were not next to Toros and Rams in standings) CL Southwest Division 5. Arizona Mavericks 11. Arizona Diamondbacks 13. Arizona Coyotes AP West Division 3. Dallas Fort Worth Mustangs 9. Dallas Generals West Division 1. San Antonio Stallions 3. San Antonio Thunder 4. Utah Snowbears 8. Utah Stars Pacific Division 6. San Diego Wildcats 9. San Diego Jaws |

I rarely check the standings(unless it's toward's the end of the season) .
I have noticed this also in the past where teams with the same divison, same city but different nickname are bunched in the standings Not all the time, but I'm just saying. |

I just checked the FBL (2 conferences 204 teams) that I have been playing on a same day basis as the CBA.
Seven divisions have 2 teams that are from the same city and different nickname. 3 out of the 7 divisions have the teams side-by side in the standings. Eastern Conference Pacific Division(11 teams) 4. Vancouver Blazers(50-44) 5.Vancouver Vulcans(43-47) East Division(11 teams) 2. Long Island Clippers(55-36) 11. Long Island Express(37-51) Western Conference Midwest Division(10 teams) 6. Chicago White Sox(44-47) 7. Chicago Fire(40-48) GL West Division(12 teams) 10. Denver Spurs(38-49) 11. Denver Rockets(36-52) GL Atlantic Division(11 teams) 1. New England Whalers(56-37) 5. New England Patriots(46-45) GL Eastern Division(10 teams) 4. Montreal Royals(50-38) 10. Montreal Mutiny(29-57) West Division(10 teams) 7. Houston Hurricanes (39-49) 10. Houston Cougars(34-52) Last edited by Orioles1966; 05-18-2016 at 04:42 PM. |

no pattern seen.
look into factors that strongly correlate to success - similar market sizes, therefor similar budgets. the city is purely asthetic in ootp - even population doesn't matter that's just how asthetic it is (as in: type "20" into market size and it doesn't matter). a city/state/country name is there purely for your comfort/immersion (you plural; all of us). the Quality metric is not asthetic from what i know. that only relates to creating players?? pretty sure it's unrelated to this context, so it can be ignored.
