Starter Tired After 9 Pitches
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or he is was "dinged" as soon as he started a game, but after 9 pitches Skaggs was hurt, and now he's showing as being tired!
I am CERTAIN he was 100% rested before his start.

Starters I'm pretty sure are going to have a pretty big chunk of their percentage taken away on any start because of the idea that the warm-up process for a start is a lot more substantial than for a reliever entering the game.

Any pitcher who goes into a game is going to show fatigue higher than you would expect. I think the co-incidental injury might also be a factor. He might be in the 70's in another day and 96-100 the next.

Well, he's hurt so the fatigue won't matter....
But otherwise, starting pitcher fatigue is based more on "when did they last pitch" as opposed to "how much did they throw". So if usually it would take him 4 full days off to get back to 100%, since he only had 6 pitches I would expect that he'll only need 2-3 full days off now instead to get back out there. |
