Rebuilding the Brewers - Day 1 move

I've done this a half-dozen times now and I've figured out my base opening trade to dump salary and pick up prospects for the Brewers. This finishes out the purge portion of the rebuild immediately. It means losing a lot of games in 16-17, but once it's done it's done, you have a really low cap, a bunch of young prospects, and the flexibility to adapt to whatever resources are available in the draft, AFA, etc.

What trade AI settings are you running it?

I always play on Low/Hard/Neutral and im struggling to see this go through on that.

Wow nice haul. I didn't waste much time trying to move Braun and lucroy.

Moved Braun for mazara and lucroy for giolito straight up day 1. Both are still in minors almost through May. Odd enough my Brewers are 29-16. Signed Cody Stanley and start Maldonado at catcher. Hoping to move garza yet too big he's actually been having an all star season.

I'm running the default settings. I've played OOTP since 14, but I still feel new to the game. When it stops being a challenge I may turn up the difficulty.

Washington is where I traded Lucroy to as well. I didn't get that haul, but I also didn't include Braun, etc. to the offer.

I did get Giolito, Reetz, and Fedde from the Nationals, for both Lucroys and another minor leaguer though. Trade difficulty set to default settings.
