Player Salary after trade

after a trade, the player's salary goes to a minor league contract. Windows 7, latest patch, Standard Game

I've definitely never seen that. When you traded for him, I assume that he had the 8.5M contract and was on Tampa's major league roster? Did you simply waive+DFA and assign him to your farm, or how did that happen?
