No expansion draft?
So I started an Atlanta Braves historical replay in 1992. I knew that Colorado and Florida would start in the league in 1993, and I knew that there would be an expansion draft. I found that the real expansion draft took place in November of 1992, so after the world series I was waiting for some kind of message to protect players on my roster for the expansion draft. I saw nothing about an expansion draft at all. No news, nothing. What gives? Did I miss something?
The reason I'm asking is because I was thinking about taking over Arizona or Tampa Bay when they come into the league and building them up, but if there's not going to be any knowledge or news of the expansion draft, then I may not bother. Any ideas? |

Anybody? I know I can work around it by turning the automatically expand league box off and scheduling the expansion myself, but then I'll have to create the team, stadium and everything. I guess if I have to I will, but I don't understand why I'm not getting the expansion draft. I've tried 3 times now, replaying the 1992 season, and made sure that it is set to hold an expansion draft. I never get an option to protect players or anything.

That's exactly what I've tried. Weird. Oh well, moving on, I'm going to start in 1993 and then see what happens in 1997 when the expansion draft for Arizona and Tampa Bay is supposed to take place.
