Exit without Saving

Is there a way to exit a game without it saving?

If you have a Mac you can force quit.

You don't need to be that very special Mac snowflake to force-quit a task. Ctrl-Alt-Del, open task manager, close the ootp task.

That doesn't always work. I've ended task from task manager and it's saved.

I can confirm sometimes it does save with Ctrl-Alt-Del.
But, as a drastic measure, (and at your own risk),
if you crash the OS, such as abruptly terminating power, it will not.

Again I'll say, if you have a Mac you can force quit.

LoL please,do not do what beanballcomin mentions.... something detrimental will eventually happen... and if it's something serious you're going to own an expensive paper weight. that method of turning off a computer should be the last and only resort to a major problem, and a game auto-saving does not fit that bill.

make sure you go to "Processes," not the task manager's "Applications" tab. "End Process." it absolutely cannot save if you do this.

breaking a process may not cause problems often, but if you do it enough, you may corrupt some data eventually. if you are trying to save read/writes on an ssd, move custom data folder to a mechanical drive, if possible. it's an option in ootp's settings.

Ending task on the application tab is different. that's like clicking the "X" close button. that's why you caused it to save when attempting to end the process.

apple products are great for their ease of use, but you end up spending 20-50% more for the name and similar quality hardware as other alternatives. i recommend them for older people not familiar with computers, and other demographics that aren't typically tech savvy. apple is such a tiny portion of the computer market... it's only around an ~8% market share. they are quite insignificant.

telling a pc user how something works on a mac is just not helpful. so, what is the motivation? sounds like insecurity to me. maybe some buyer's remorse, because you paid an extra $500-$1000 for an intrusive piece of hardware that limits its own functionality to increase profits and for other self-serving reasons. even though you bought and own it, it won't allow you to use it to its fullest extent. the only good apple product is a jail-broken one.

i hear they have nets now at the apple manufacturing plants in china to catch all the jumpers. that steve jobs guy sure was cool... we should make a movie about him and white wash his life as if it was something important and grand.

"Telling a pc user how to..."

Thank you. Just another person spouting worthless information with his attack on the MAC. Maybe he should read a little slower .

Whenever someone feels the need to defend something no matter what is said, he normally feels he is on the losing team.

I just posted something in "future features" asking for a way to load a game for this very reason.

It would be great if instead of crashing the app or going through and loading a backup every time, we could just reload the season and start over (many reasons you may want to do this, for example I personally like creating team photos of the championship teams and often forget to make the college ones, a few days after their season 1/4 the team is gone and in the draft so I can't make the photo anymore...)

because i thought the third (?) reply was the same guy and he mentions ctl-alt-delete -- definitely my bad... and you repeated teh same exact suggestion twice for no reason, which just seemed pretentious to me in conjunction with my error.

p.s. i was quite drunk, lol.

Directly goes to Task Manager in Windows Vista and later, instead of bringing up the Blue Screen of Not-Death.

I saw once OOTP said just turn off your computer if you don't call that cheating. Awhile later I accidentally did something twice (slow learner) and turned off my computer both times. It worked both.
