Active Roster Player Age and strange AI behaviour
Setting age limits under Game Settings --> League Settings ---> Rules doesn't seem to do anything. I started a Historical Game in 1995 with real Minor Leagues and noticed a bunch of 17 and 18 year olds appearing on Major League rosters. Most of them with very poor ratings who have no buisness even sniffing the Major Leagues -- On a side note: Why are these players appearing in the ML in the first place? See below an example: 17 year old Dave Orndorff is on Minesota's active roster with atrocious ratings. He should be in rookie league, not ML! At the same time 25 year old Matt Walbeck is in AAA and 25 year old Damian Miller is in AA. I've simulated the 1995 season numerous times now with different AI evaluation settings and this keeps happening all the time.
To prevent this from happening I set the minimum age to 19, but still the 17 and 18 year olds kept showing up on ML rosters. Why is this, am I missing something here? |

AI player evaluation is notoriously buggy in 17.6 - should be fixed in 17.7 when it comes out.
Minimum age limits for major leagues have always been glitched. |
