Player rating not changing following edit
Hello all,
Recently tried to edit Brandon Drury in a Majors Quickstart league. For some reason he simply won't show any rating as a left fielder even with an edited 70 overall rating at the position. All other changes to other players show up instantaneously in the fielding ratings column - so wondering what the deal might be in this case. Thanks in advance for any help. You'll need to either turn off scouting, run a re-scout of the whole league, or wait till the player is scouted again before the changes will actually show up!
EDIT: Re-reading your post it appears I may've misunderstood the issue since changes show for other players. Actually looking at Drury, he has no OF stats in the roster set, so you'll need to give him ratings in of range, error and arm before he'll show a rating. For the future, I'll give him ratings in the of now, that'll show up in the next patch. Last edited by Lukas Berger; 04-25-2016 at 12:51 AM. |

However, as Lukasberger says, most playing ratings (overall as well as contact/power/patience or, for pitchers, stuff/movement/control as well as pitch ratings) will only update, if scouting is on, upon a rescout. I'd guess if scouting is off everything updates right away. |

Some ratings in OOTP are treated as if they were 'objective', by design - the ratings you wouldn't need a proper scout to measure. Velocity for pitchers is one of those. I'm 99% sure Speed is another. The idea being you can measure these things with a radar gun or stopwatch, and there's no room for interpretation. Most ratings are scouted though.
