Moved 2015 MLB and complete minors to 1967?
I see the date as March 4,1967 but the schedule's start date for the imported 2015 MLB and complete minors is April 2015. Huh ??? Shouldn't it be April 1967?
I also have 1967 MLB with complete minors in this world and it's start date is April 1967. I did this so I could use players from both years and play them in 1967. Can this be done? What happens if I move teams from 1967 MLB to 2015 MLB (not all teams only half,10 out of 20)? Then I delete all the 1967 Leagues(remaining teams in MLB and complete minors)? If the start date is April 1967 but there is no leagues from that era what happens too the 2015 Leagues(MLB and complete minors). I am going too hold off creating this World for now since I don't want too wait 50 years to play the current game. Last edited by Orioles1966; 04-22-2016 at 02:53 PM. |

I know one thing that could possibly save the situation.
After moving all the players off the 1967 teams and having no teams remaining then I could move all the 2015 into the MLB 1967 (with the league structure). |

you could, if you can't find an easier way in game, which you can likely find... something sounds odd there.
anyway, if worse comes to worst, importing players to another league with a different year can be a bit tricky. 1) player ID's must be changed. copy/paste player id's from destination league... trimming or adding players so that the # of players is equal is a good idea. 2) YoB must be changed to match new year of league (e.g. 2016 - 1967 = 39 years to be deducted from YoB column -- "=a1-39" and fill down for all the thousands of players. 3) team id's must be the same... if they are different, you'll have to fix those too. a little more complicated... find and replace sounds like a good idea at first.. but then think about it a bit before doing so, lol. you'll have to be trickier than that. 4) nothing you can do about coachs' ages, except to do it by hand, because i do not believe anythign you can import has access to these YoBs. so, not a viable option, imo. delete them all and re-create X # of personnel types. like i said... definitely exhaust all possibilities in creating a game before moving to this path. Everything worked out ok.
I merged the MLB 1967 teams. I took ten teams and kept them intact while adding ten players from the other ten teams too the kept teams. Then I cherry picked remaining players in the teams that lost ten players too fill the 24 expansion teams. Right now the 24 expansion teams have about 24-27 players on each team. I probably will add 120 players(4 players each from 2015 MLB teams including minors). After merging the teams and adding players to the new teams,I deleted all the teams from MLB 1967 and moved all the MLB 2015 to MLB 1967 so they now will have the 1967 schedule. I still haven't decided if I will keep any minor leagues because in the past the game had trouble handling all the transactions. So if I keep one league at 64 teams, everything should be ok.
