Eliminating Certain Levels of Minors?

I'm a few seasons into my 2016 Quickstart with the Orioles and I am finding all of the levels of minors too much to deal with. Is it possible to eliminate certain levels now or can it only be done at the start of the game? I think I want a max of 4 or so (Rookie, Single A, AA, AAA) plus an Intl complex.

If it is possible to eliminate some levels...

- When do I do it?
- How do I do it?
- Do I have to do anything special to make sure player in those levels aren't eliminates?
- If I start over and eliminate the levels prior to starting, what happens to the players?

Thanks for any help.

For when and how, in the offseason you use the league functions and "delete this league" for the minor leagues you don't want.

The players will, I think, become free agents, which may or may not be acceptable to you. You may want them to stay within their organizations, and that probably won't happen.

Here is my post that explains how to do it

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...872-post3.html

Basically it was a guy wanting to delete one level of minors, but of course the principle is the same with more, you sort of do more of it at once to get rid of more levels

Hope that helps

you should be able to get away with no Short A... but, i would wager development will be slightly smoother with it as opposed to without. maybe it's small enough to be insignificant, or maybe it isn't. you'll have to decide on that.

use a throw-away restored backup and zoom out a few years just doing the basic maintenance and quick-simming games... do fully go through your normal promotion/demotion routines but save time on unrelated activities. ie just keep the ship afloat elswhere - make use of AI doing things etc etc.

make sure as you promote and demote you are not running into anything you did not expect or want in the process. go through quite a few draft classes to be sure... you can do 10-20 years in 20-30mins, if only focusing on the question at hand.
