Popularity affecting all star balloting

Is there a way to turn off popularity affecting the voting for the all star game? I want my all star game rosters to consist of the guys who most deserve to be there and not just the ones who are most popular.

I have a left fielder that is currently batting .433 heading into June. His war is over 2 and he is not even showing in the top 3 of the voting. I can understand the argument for him not to be #1, but he is by far better than #2 or #3 on the list. My only guess is it has to be due to the fact that he has no popularity rating where the other guys are popular.

Even the fact that he has no national popularity rating is odd since he has won 3 titles and was the MVP of 1 of those titles. On top of that he is batting .322 for his career.

Go to League settings >> options. Then for the All Star game there's a Influence of popularity in the AS vote. There's 4 options: None, low, moderate and high.

Popularity is the defining aspect of All Star voting. If you don't like that, change it!

Why bother answering at all if you "don't give a ****!"?

My all star game options aren't showing up in league settings/options. Can this only be changed at certain times of the season?

I think you can only change it during the off-season.

Ok, maybe I'll see if I can force my guy in for this season and then change it next offseason.
