Posting System Question

If i for example want Shohei Otani to end up jumping to the MLB, does that mean I need Japanese Leagues on?

For the posting system to work do I need to turn on the posting system under financials in league settings? Or is that only if you want a posting system for MLB players?

That's if you want MLB players being posted to other leagues. If you look at the Nippon/KBO financial pages you'll see that the option is on and how much the max posting fee is etc.

By default, posting was enabled in the Nippon league in the standard MLB league I started but I've gone through two post seasons now without a player being posted. Is this expected? I'm not sure how often it happens in real life (I hear about the big ones like Masahiro Tanaka but assume there are others posted that don't hit the $20 million posting limit).

If a player is posted, would I get an email about it so I don't miss it?

You should get an email entitled "[league redacted] League Announces Posted Players". But I don't think players are posted every year due to a variety of reasons(not enough service time/no interest in playing overseas etc etc).

EDIT: Just looked back in my fictional league. 1970,72,73,76,79,81,82. I got the aforementioned posted email so I'm guessing other years there were no posted players.
