Does scouting a player ever change the scouting report?

Have you ever seen a scouting report change after asking your scout to take a look at a player? I have not so I'm wondering if there's any purpose to the function at this point.

I have never seen one change myself. I stopped using it a while ago because I didn't see the point. The only reason to use it IMO is on a player that has no report yet.

yes. i've seen it, but usually only after the player has had a chance to develop (or regress). Maybe it depends on your scout and the budget for scouting, not certain.

There is a setting to only create scouting reports at the beginning and end of a season, and I suspect if one were to use that, having the option to ask your scout to check out a player during the season is useful.

I didn't know that either, seems like it's probably a much more realistic setting. Plus it gives my scout something to do other than fly to Venezuala and Cuba.
