Illegal Number of Players on Active Roster

I am simming a season as commish of MLB QS with all international leagues. Why am I being notified that that the GCL Tigers have an illegal number of players on their roster and can't sim ahead? I also had the AI setup the entire organization's depth charts, lineups, etc. but it only gives them 6 players instead of 0 and won't sim ahead.

to get out of that - the easiest way is to fill rosters with fictional players. Or you can use "ghost" players to fill roster.

To allow ghost players (allows incomplete rosters in minor leagues) - League Settings> Rules.

To fill minors (or majors for some reason) with fictional players - League settings> functions .... under roster functions in the middle section, near bottom ... fill team with fictional players up to roster limit. (On the far right side, there is a drop down menu that probably says "Major League Baseball". If you click that drop down menu, you can select the specific league you want to fill with players, such as AA, AAA, or whatever is lacking. Otherwise, it fills all the ones needing players. It does not delete or change any players you already have as far i have experienced.

Only problem is, if you want to play without any fictional players to get to majors, you also need to need to Block fictional players from reaching majors in the league settings> options BEFORE you click on ghosts players ..... otherwise it's grayed out.

Hope this is what you were looking for. It's possibly not the only solution, but it's the only one i know of. Good luck.

Thanks. I believe I've done this in the past, but only when I was in control of a team. I figured the league would figure out these problems on its own if I'm just playing as commish.

So I tried another sim, same problem in year 2 with the Royals.

Figured out, what had happened was that they had waived and DFA'd a ton of players, all on the same day. They cannot be put on the 40-man and are on irrevocable waivers.

What's goin' on?

No idea. I suggest starting a new game with the latest patch.

Also ,if you freeze the roster(s),massive player transaction's won't happen.
