Players being replaced on my shortlist

is anyone else noticing players being replaced on their shortlists? I keep getting guys that entered the league as indy players replace the players on my shortlist.

Players are identified on short lists by player ID. If a player ID becomes available (ie minor league player deleted if they didn't make the majors) and a new players gets this player ID he may very well show up on your shortlist...I believe.

that's what i thought so i double checked my setting and it's off. I don't know why player ids would be changing

if you purged the db this can happen. if they are deleted they actually remain in the db until they are purged, i think.

i used to see players show up on empty lists... not sure how that happens, though. in ootp16 every once in a while a player sneaks on my 'default' shortlist even though it's always empty, lol.

i did nothing of the sort. i have simply been quick simming a default fictional league for about 10 seasons and some of the 1st round picks that i've been watching are disappearing. they are still in the game. but i haven't done any purges, deletes, or backups

pop it into the bugs forum. that definitely sounds different than the past.

if no players were removed from the db to begin with, then no id's change from what i know.

I have seen something similar in past versions when a player retired. I would hover over him and a different player would show up. Clicked on him and the new player would be there.
