Facegen hair question

Last night I was looking into buying Facegen Modeller Full version that comes with all the different hairs unfortunately it's almost $1000. Is there a cheaper way preferably a free way to be able to add longer hair to certain players? I want to Dreadlicks Afros mullets

Jesus H. DeJesus!! $1000?? Who would've guessed that an application like Facegen, as cool as it is for our purposes, would ever cost so much? Were they bought by Adobe, or something?

I doubt you can get long hair even if you spring for full facegen. I presume that the 3D head model that OOTP uses is universal for every player and scaled rather than developing a new 3D model for each player. Imagine that the OOTP player model is a styrofoam head that they model hats with. You can, with your .fg face file, paint an elaborate, realistic face on the styrofoam model. You can also paint realistic looking short hair on that model. What you cannot do is add more material to the model to make hair extend off the head. You get a styrofoam head, that's it.

Anywho, that's how I think it works. The Dev Team would know better...

I've seen pictures and hear all the people who were able to have players with dreadlocks before so I just assumed they were using the same program

There was some guy who put dreads on Cutch & Manny in the past but it was photoshopped.
