I made an offline 24 team league that I want to use as my primary league for the next several years. This is my first attempt at making a league in OOTP 17, and I didn't mess with any settings, just league structure. Everything else is default.
I got everything set up and went into the inaugural draft using whatever players the game generated for me.
In looking at the league's player list I've noticed that the league has way more players with high end ratings than say, an MLB Quick Start.
I kind of want the average to be similar to MLB, but it currently seems so much higher.
As an example, there are 11 players in my league with a Power of 80. I currently see none in MLB. There are 10 with a power of 75, I currently see 2 in MLB. I did notice that it seems to skew the other way as ratings lower. There are 34 players with a power rating of 60 in my league. There are 58 in my MLB league. I see the same types of results in pretty much all of the ratings categories.
Is this going to matter in the long run as much as I think it will? Will it balance itself out if all of my factors are set based on a 2016 start year? Should I have done something different when starting this franchise? Is there something I should fix?
I don't want to start my longterm franchise with a bunch of genetic monsters that are going to set unbreakable records and have a bunch of 35-20 final scores right off the bat
