Ammy Draft - Historicals, High Demand to Sign/non-reenter draft

So here is scenario, in 1960s, about 5 years in - historical ammys.

I drafted Johnny Briggs like year 2 , he wanted 250k signing I didn't have it, Ive progressed 3 more years now and he is still in the negotiate with ammys list with the same demand

I also have a similar issue with Impossible to sign guys that are broken off in negotiations they don't seem to leave and reenter the ammy.

Too funny! You and I struggling with historical play around the same time(1960-62) and with the same team, Houston.

I did answer your earlier post. With this last patch, the draft for historical is broken. I did report this in the bugs forum.

Are you having issues with players in your minors just disappearing? Also, not sure if you've done this yet, but when you set up your game, if you add the international leagues, all players in the Cuban, Japan leagues, etc. are born in 1977, 81, etc., and their ages are zero. I had to delete all the players, then delete the leagues, then I simmed a week or so, then when back in and created them again, and things were fine. And of course, now this issue with the minors and the draft. I would like to start a new game, but not sure I want to do that. Maybe I'll play like in real life, and not hold a draft until 1965. Just have all the players coming in as free agents like back in the day, when the Yankees, A's, and Cardinals bought all the good players.

Ok, that gives me hope. Think I'll start a new game. I'm so old, my very first game ever was at Connie Mack Stadium, watching the Phillies and the Colt 45's. I believe it was 1964 because Claude Raymond came out of the pen for Houston to pitch. To this day, Johnny Callison is still one of my all time favorite players. Used to tend bar in the offseason about 45 minutes from where I lived.

Nice, I usually go with the mets in 62 which ootp17 makes really amazing now with the ability to see how rookies in the minors could have impacted the magical loss season - but I took houston for the hell of it, much rougher ride then i expected when i did the expansion draft myself (I started in 61, put on Do not distrub and simmed the season - then took over .45s in the offseason and did the expansion draft myself)

I would not count on the Astrodome being any more forgiving of power hitters than Colts. Poor Jim Wynn might have hit 500 homers if he had played elsewhere.

You probably want to draft like the Dodgers assembled their team in those years - they trade Frank Howard and went with players like Tommy Davis, Willie Davis, Wes Parker and Maury Wills, singles, doubles and speed and pitching and defense, pitching and defense, pitching and defense.
