Problem importing OOTP16 saved game

I've just been trying to import my saved league into OOTP17. Clicked on "Import game" and prompted to select "world.dat file from OOTP16 folder". I confirm this then enter "name of game". I'm then asked to "import now" and asked "do you want OOTP to search for logos, jerseys, caps and replace thos pictures if it finds better ones" I've tried clicking "Yes" and "No" on different attempts and either way the imported game has none of my logos, uniforms, caps and there are no news items whatsoever.

Is it worth doing an uninstall/re-install ( I bought the pre-order version and have updated each patch before trying to import my league).

I realise that the only "bug" is likely to be the one between my ears but any help would be appreciated. I have searched the other threads for ideas but nothing I've tried has worked so far. Many thanks.

In the worst case scenario, you can always manually redo the logos. News items are gone, though.

Just an update for anyone else who is encountering problems importing a saved OOTP16 game. I eventually uninstalled and re-installed OOTP 17 and started another import. Everything went absolutely smoothly, logos, uniforms etc AND news items were all included! Splendid. Just need to manually transfer ballparks as in previous versions. Hope this helps anyone else.
