Force Season to End Feature To Fix Tiebreaker Problem

I would like to see OOTP have a simple option that would allow you to force the season to end immediately. The reason for this is that if the game sees a tie, then it forces tie breaker games. I know that we can adjust seeding and matchups by adjusting them, but the real problem is that you have to get the game to start the playoffs first and sometimes it will force a tie breaker game. What if your don't want a tie breaker game? For instance, maybe you want the tie breaker to be runs scored, etc.? If this simple option can be added, all tie breaker and playoff seeding issues would be solved -100%. It's such a simple solution I'm not sure why it can't be added.

With this option, you could adjust the schedule if needed to have a tie breaker but the game would not force an unwanted tie breaker. Once you have pressed the "advanced to playoffs" you can then seed teams as desired if the default doesn't work. The issue isn't that the game doesn't allow us to seed teams, the issue is that tie breaker games are sometime unwanted but scheduled and you can't advance until the tie breaker is played. What if you have decided in your mind, the tie has already been decided (for instance by head to head or a team stat) and don't want another game, you just want to advance to playoffs. Now, the default can still have the game schedule a tie breaker, but at least you could go to the schedule editor, remove the additional game, and force an advancement to the playoffs, where you can then set seeding.

Marcus this simple option would solve all tie breaker issues.

I second this idea. Right now I want to start full NCAA in MLB universe and want to have full 50 game college season. With the game having to schedule so many days of tiebreakers I have to start the season in mid January in order to be done in time for draft. I'm sure playing in single digit temperatures would have some bad effects on players.
Plus some of the games that are being set for tiebreakers don't need to be played and put undo fatigue on those players. If two teams with the same record who are not fighting for the division and are guaranteed a playoff spot whether they win or lose, what is the point?

Or, you know, tie-breaking could be fixed so that it can at least handle the tie scenarios MLB lay out in its rules.

Even better, a user-customizable system, which, contrary to some claims, need not be that difficult to create. If OOTP can handle schedule files, it could handle dedicated tie-breaking files (which are, in effect, a form of schedule, just with more precise parameters).
