Unhappy Mods Question??

Are trades supposed to get harder the more you make? Does no one else have this issue? I just want to know if the game was designed to be this way or if it is some sort of error.

Not in the design, as far as I know. Maybe your ambitions are greater the more you make and it seems harder. Sure would like to think that in a future version we can, even more so, involve GM personalities, so that maybe, rumor gets around that you are a serial trader and those inclined do get a bit more aggressive in their approach with you. But as to your OP, as I said, no, not to my knowledge.

After last night, I'm struggling with accepting the new Average difficulty. Let's just say it was harder than I recall and I've postponed moving it back to my previous Hard setting.

Thanks for your response! It is definitely not just my perception. I know this because I can make the exact same trades in a new game that I cannot make in the older one.

Have personalities on? If all things are truly equal, then it is likely the viewpoint of the other GM. But things are rarely exactly equal. In a new game, the players' relative values in the new league may not be the same as they were in the old as the quality and composition of the landscape is different by comparison. In addition, that value may be affected, if you are using it, by the AI Eval settings, the checkbox that utilizes them, and the Relative To League setting on/off.

Thanks for the input, though. Always an interesting topic of discussion, and the viewpoints and interpretations are seldom the same. That's a part of what makes the game a personal and dynamic experience.

All settings are exactly the same and I have not simmed ahead in either game. And I am attempting to trade a team who I have not yet made a trade with. The only difference is in one game I have made about 10 or so other trades with different teams while the other game I have yet to make a trade in.

I understand what you are saying about players values could be different but the amount required to get a move done is drastically different in one game vs the next.

FYI I think I figured this out if anyone cares.

I think it is just from using the make this work button too much. You will find the computer will start asking for more and more the more times you use this.
