HELP! I Messed Up My Busch Stadium!
Somehow I accidentally replaced my Busch Stadium 3d model with the default Majors model. Must have unknowingly saved the Default as Busch, now when I try to load Busch Stadium it is the default Majors.
I need the Busch 3d file to put back in my OOTP ballpark file, can anyone help?

You could just reinstall the game I think, that will overwrite it with Busch. Unless you have a load of other changes you don't want to have to do again?

Just reinstall.

Right I have a bunch of facegens I created for my game along with other modified parks and stuff. If I reinstall will it overwrite that stuff I've done?

If you've modified other stadiums that came with the game then yes.
If that's the case you could just install the game to a different location, name it ootpbackup or whatever and then transfer the busch file from there into your proper game Last edited by Matt Uk; 03-24-2016 at 11:58 AM. |

Doesn't work. I tried reinstalling, I tried installing to a different directory file and copying the busch stadium files to my original game file. Nothing works, Busch Stadium is now the default major model. Any other ideas?

Unlicense, uninstall, make sure all game files are deleted, reinstall, relicense. That will do it.

I lose my game then though, right? Cause if I copy the saved game file and then put it in after all this, it will still have the bad Busch Stadium? Or am I thinking of this the wrong way?

Not sure why the uninstall/reinstall isn't working, but try this: delete the 'bad' Busch Stadium file or at least rename it something you can remember later in case you need it. Then, do the uninstall/reinstall and the game should replace it with the one you're looking to use. There's probably a simpler answer I'm overlooking, but that's the best I have off the top of what little head I have left right now.

The Saved Games folder doesn't have the Ballpark folder in it. The main directory does. As for 3D, I have to think about that, haven't looked at the placement in awhile. But search and find it as above, and I think we'll be on the right path, so to speak.

If the default is Busch it's the default you need to copy over from the reinstall to the different location into the default folder |

If you go into the Default Data folder in the Out of the Park Developments Folder that's installed in Program Files directory, you should have access to the original files. In the Default Data folder, there is a folder called ballpark_files.zip. Inside of that folder are all of the ballparks that come with the game. You can unzip them to your desktop or just find what you need and copy it.
In other words, copy what you need from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 17\default_data\ballpark_files.zip\ballparks and put it in the appropriate folder here: C:\Users\(your_name)\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 17\ballparks Last edited by cheo25; 03-24-2016 at 05:55 PM. |

Just for clarification if anyone else has an idea, the model file for my 3d busch stadium in game, that is busch_stadium.obj is the default_major model.

Just a thought, looking in the ballpark models folder, there are 6 files in total. Have you tried copying all six over? Perhaps where you saved over it in game you now have 5 files from the default major folder but the busch.obj that you copied back in

Yeah. I even tried copying every file in the Ballpark file, 400 some files over. That's why I think there is something in my "Saved Games" folder that is screwing things up. I'm gonna try starting a new game and see if Busch is Busch

Figured It Out
So sorry, guys, and thank you so much for the help. It appears that the it is fixed now, what I failed to notice is that the default_major 3d model is the same as Busch stadiums model, with a few subtle color differences.
I've been going back and forth and just never noticed the color changes. It was another post in the forum that caught my eye and helped me figure it out. Thanks for all the help, and sorry.
