Fictional Historical League

Being a history buff, I've been thinking lately of setting up an on-line fictional league set in a period of history. A couple of my ideas are:

War of the Rose League
York and Lancaster would be the two leagues. Noble house like the Beauforts or Nevilles could be teams.

Peloponnesian League
City-states of ancient Greece would provide the teams.

Roman League
Italian Cities, as well as Carthage, Gaul, Greece, Pontus, Bithynia, Parthians, could provide teams.

Holy Roman Empire League
Principalities of the HRE could be teams.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms League
Teams from the Chinese clans/house partaking in the this tumultuous time during China's history.

These are just a few ideas. My question is would anyone have any interest being in or help with setting up a league like this?

Sounds like fun to me. I don't have a lot of experience with OOTP5 online leagues, but I've been in a number of other sim leagues and would be interested in participating or helping.

While I still like this idea and want to pursue it, I just joined an new league, the LBA. It looks like I will have to hold off for a while. That is, unless someone else wants to pick up the main duties, in which case I would willing to help them out.

I'm curious, of those that responsed, which time period interested you the most?

For me, Roman League.......all those city-states...the Borgia's facing off against the Medici's. And toss Machiavelli into the mix.

I agree this is a very interesting idea. I'd love to be a part of it if anyone got the idea off the ground.

Good choice in committing your time to the LBA though Ben, we need you there.

Good idea Evan, a Renaissance league! The Roman one was more ancient Rome. I really like the Renaissance one.

I was going to say War of the Roses league, but I like the Renaissance idea even better. Now someone just needs to take it on.
