Historical Minor League teams retaining W/L record
In a historical league, moving from 1970 to 1971, it appears that a few minor league teams that moved leagues retained their won-loss record from the 1970 season.
The teams were Double-A teams that moved from the Texas and Southern Leagues into the Dixie Association: Memphis Arkansas Birmingham Columbus Charlotte Montgomery Dallas-Fort Worth Amarillo Albuquerque San Antonio Additionally, a number of players were released from the roster at the offseason transition. Some were retained in the organization, but others were moved to the free agent pool. One example being Mick Kelleher. I will upload the files (league currently July 1st) a little later this morning. |
