A few general questions about OOTP17 lay-out

Hello,

I bought OOTP off of Steam yesterday and have a few questions:

Do I have to always be connected to the internet to play OOTP? It seems with this edition Steam always opens up when I access OOTP? I don't want Steam to open every time I access OOTP.

Last year a player could save a game before it's completion. Has this option been remove in OOTP 17? I've look at the bottom bar in the game screen and there is no save function.

Since I bought OOTP 17 through Steam where has Add-On Central gone? It's call something different on Steam and there is nothing in it. Add-On-Central had many great files one could add to the game.

Finally I transferred my save from OOTP 16 to 17 and note most a the actual player faces are now face-gens. How do I get the players' actual facial picture back again?

Any info is appreciated.
