Edit 3D Parks?

Is there a way to edit the updated 3D ballparks? In OOTP16 we could easily edit the 3D ballpark graphics. This had huge potential for those with fictional leagues. The immersion factor for a fictional league truly suffers when there are MLB logos and signage in the 3D parks.

Guess I'm mentioning this because the 3D engine has arrived and is so well done that I'd definitely use it for fictional play. I know OOTP16 3D parks can be used in version 17, (and I've actually tried 3rd part 3D parks with success) but the updated parks are clearly superior and absolutely gorgeous, especially Wrigley. Even the stadium crowed has an improved 3D effect over any in version 16.

Anyway, I sure hope the ability to edit them will be returned or someone could enlighten us as to how to edit them now. At the least, would it be too much to ask that generic replicas of the current 3D parks be released for fictional play? That would be so cool.

Hmmm. Really? Thanks so much for pointing that out, Markus. That means there is a problem on my end. Weird, for some reason the graphics are labeled as WEBP files and I get an error message when I try to open them. I do have a new PC so perhaps that's why I'm hitting a snag. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks again.

WEBP files can be opened and converted by IrfanView, for example.

My Comerica Park sure looks like the real deal. I do wish we had a retro Tiger Stadium to replay the historical replays. It would make it more authentic, maybe down the road a bit.

@bigdummie... Tiger stadium was my home away from home. If I ever felt bad or down I would just goto games there. Not a big fan of Comercia park. That place was made for the casual fan. Where as tiger stadium was made for the true fans of the Tigers

I lived in Flint in the early to late 70's, an hour drive to the diamond of all ballparks. I sat in every nook and cranny of the ballpark. I think we saw just about all of the Bird's starts in 1976. I have 2 framed pictures of Tiger Stadium hanging in my Man Cave. I have been twice to Comerica Park, nice Park, not the same. I can still see all that lush green of the outfield, the porch in right field, Ernie in the booth. Ah, the memories. Now if we could just get a 3D version. lol

If you're going to do 3D ballparks, Sketchup -- or probably pull a 3D model off Sketchup's Warehouse and configure for OOTP. If you're not doing 3D, then you probably want this http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...generator.html awesome fan-made park generator.

Good luck. Post what you come up with.

I have only once had seats behind the poles and I just simply moved to a better seat. one exception 1984 you couldn't find an empty seat all year but fortunately most of the time I usually got the upper deck anyways ... ohh.... shame we don't get to hear the phrase.... WOW he nailed that to the upper deck. anymore. There is no romance to the game anymore all commercialized just as the stadium names.
