Draft signability and $ demands
Currently, prospects with impossible signability often have demands incommensurate with their talent level. I just drafted an impossible 5-star prospect (should have been a top-3 pick) in the 4th round and his baseline bonus demand was 1.7m. I don't know how much you typically have to offer over baseline to get an impossible guy but I just threw out 3 million and he took it. That's way below even slot for where he should have gone.
Similarly, you can have guys that are "very difficult" that only want 2 or 3 million even as a #1 pick, or guys that are "very easy" who want slot that you have to pay 6 or 7 million.
