I have a solution, which I can still implement, but I have to do the major league transactions and lineups manually, which is a PITA.

Act as commissioner, block all AI roster moves, and replay the season including minors with the teams that were actually on the field. To the extent that I can with access to the Sporting News and the players included in the data base, I'll be using the real lineups for the Texas League as well.

Not sure. When I was a SABR member awhile back, the data didn't seem on display anymore. I think Sean Lahman is handling/coordinating the minor league project now, at least, that's my impression. (My SABR membership has since lapsed, though I might join up again later this year.)

BB-Ref does have contact information for those wanting to help out, if I recall correctly.
