Historical Game Free Agency

Hey guys, I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but in my classic games, some BIG name free agents (Iv'e noticed it most with Mark McGwire and a few other huge names) signing big, long term deals with independent teams, then immediately having their contracts purchased by an MLB team.

The issue here is, these MLB deals are only for 1 year, so they become free agents every single season. These guys should be signing long term deals with MLB teams, but they're on the market every year.

Is this intentional? Is there any way to combat this? Or can it be tweaked? Only happens when I use full historical minors. Just wanted to know if I was the only one noticing.

The prevalence of one year contracts for marquee players sounds like a possible bug.

What's the league reputation for the Independent league set to? If it's 10, the same as MLB, high profile free agents will sign with them.

That was one of my concerns with historical minors, and it looks like it was a legitimate concern.

It's an incredible feature in theory, but I won't be using it if unaffiliated minor league clubs are signing big league MLB talent. It's just not realistic.

I have faith that Markus will get this stuff straightened out, but this along with the issue that was posted here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...g-players.html

Are reasons enough for me to stay away from historical mode for the time being. Hopefully when all of this release craziness dies down Markus can have a look. I can only imagine the amount of stuff the guy has on his plate right now.
