Crazy Defensive Plays by Wrong Player

I am playing a season using historical world series teams. I happen to be using the 1969 Orioles and, to date, I have only played, including a couple of exhibition games, against the 67 Red Soxs.

I have not paid a lot of attention of who is making the plays for the Soxs but for the Orioles I have had the center fielder (Blair) making a number of plays (too many) "down the LF or RF line" that should have been played by the people in those positions. I just had a play where a pop-up down the right line was caught by the shortstop (Belanger). I seem to recall another infield play that made no sense too.

To date, they have all occurred in the first three innings, do not know if that is just a coincidence or something of value. Have only played about 5 games.

When you say the play was made by the wrong player, do you mean that the 3D animation showed the wrong player, or the PBP showed the wrong text?

If the 3D appears to be showing problems, please see the sticky thread to report 3D cosmetic issues. If the PBP text shows problems, please post a screenshot of the text, with the ball location and fielders shown on screen, and we can look into it.

Also, make sure that your guy is playing the correct position. Just because a guy played CF in real life, the AI may not necessarily put him at that position every game in a sim

*or, Markus will just fix any bugs

I play in Broadcast, so it is the narrative that is incorrect. People are in the correct position, first thing I checked.
