Minor leaguers on major league contracts

So I manage a mid-market team, and I was surprised to notice that my player payroll for this year had ballooned to 1st overall. It didn't take long to figure out why:



Literally dozens of my minor leaguers, including players who had never cracked the majors, are suddenly on major league contracts paying them $540,000 over one year (the league minimum in my game).

In more oddness, these contracts aren't reflected in my projected expenses. The player payroll in my financial summary is $240.4M, but under expenses, it's $158.8M.

What's going on, and how do I fix it?
