Play by play sound?

Hi,

I noticed in 2016 they had an option to have audio play by play. I don't see that in 2017. I turned the sound setting to "Experimental text + speech" and also "Experimental text + game sound." With the text+speech I hear 0 sound. WIth the text+ game sound I hear the game sound fine but no audio play by play. Is audio play by play not supported or am I doing something wrong?

OOTP17 has the same sound options as OOTP16. I'm hearing the game sound and TTS just fine. Is the TTS feature in Windows still active on your PC? Also, fiddle with ball animation. Enable it, disable it. See if it "jostles" the TTS into action. (I had that problem a couple of times with OOTP16.)

Well. I'm on Linux so that might be the problem. Does anyone know how to enable it for linux?

Pickstreet.....Is there anyway to change the announcers voice? I am running windows 10 and have changed the default voice in my text to speech setting but keep getting the same voice.

I had to run this command from the command prompt to enable an IVONA voice: %windir%\SysWOW64\speech\SpeechUX\sapi.cpl

Windows 64-bit only

I'm out of ideas. Send a PM to Andreas Raht. He's the one who coded the TTS feature. He might have an idea. Be patient, though. I'm sure he's up to his ears in work at the moment.
