Expansion Team Control Issues

I started a regular MLB league, and simulated until 2020. I then expanded the league, adding a team to the AL West and a team to the NL West.

I took control of one of the teams, but the game doesn't seem to recognize that the team is controlled by a human manager.

Players that I had DFA'd were automatically moved back to the 40 man roster after 1 day (despite the DFA being 10 days) and the computer continued to offer free agents contracts for my team.

I checked my team owner, since they can sometimes interfere with free agents and roster moves, but he's hands-off and lenient, so that's not the issue. Also, I usually switch the injury notification from 3 days to 1 week (meaning I only get notifications for injuries longer than 1 week) but the game doesn't seem to register my settings, as I keep getting emails when players get day-to-day injuries for 3 and 4 days.

When I took control of the Twins in my other league, none of these issues occured, so I think it's only in relation to expansion teams.

I would imagine it's some kind of bug. Thanks for any help.

Edit: Also, I didn't accidentally select "act as..." I specifically chose "get a job" and was hired by one of my expansion teams.

Make sure you don't have the "do not disturb" button checked. That essentially gives the AI control over the day to day of your team.

Sorry should have mentioned that's also not checked. (As I'm getting constant notifications stopping the sim after the injuries)

It was checked from 2016-2020, and I was the commissioner, but after I expanded and before I was hired, I turned off commissioner mode and do not disturb.

The whole off-season was when the AI was making offers, but it stopped during the season. The only error during the season is the 3 or 4 day injuries stopping the sim despite the setting being at 1 week.

Are you absolutely sure that you are listed as GM for the team?

Yes.

I have 2 screen shots I can show but I'm not sure how to upload them on here. The link I tried to post where the images were hosted just created broken images.

Never mind.

It stopped after the first season (Both the day-to-day injuries issues and the AI offers)
