Moving Players on the Screen
Sigh.
Recap: Before OOTP16 you can just drag and drop players on the field during the game. Very convenient. In OOTP16 you could no longer do that. It was explained that a new engine they were using wouldn't allow it. Instead you had to leave the game, go into Commissioner Mode, go into Edit Ballparks, and then drag the players. Obviously this was less convenient but I recall asking that it at least be changed so you don't need to be in Commissioner Mode. It isn't like it is a special request that is breaking normal rules to set up the graphic representation of players on the screen. In OOTP17 it is MUCH worse. Now, you still have to leave the game to fix the player alignment... or that is, you WOULD have to, but when you try, (and yes, I am in Commissioner Mode) you are told that you are not allowed to go into edit ballparks AT ALL while the 'sim' is running. So... while playing a game, you can't actually adjust the players. I LOVE this game, but once again, this is really annoying. (On top of the fact that I have to adjust the players in the first place because the parks and setting weren't brought over when I imported my leagues, something that is already annoying and while it has been explained, that explanation leaves a lot to be desired.)

In 16 you could do it, it was just a different method and, yes, more difficult. You had to right-click, find an appropriate corner, and drag. You can still do this in v17, granted with even a tad more difficulty. What you can't do is execute that in 3D. You'll have to, as I think you're saying, change to 2D view, make adjustments, and return to 3D to examine their effects. And it's touchy, touchy, touchy, so all in all I agree, v17 is tougher on tricks, but the magic can still happen. Just slowly.

I am on a Mac and the right-click doesn't work. It also didn't work in 16. I tried. A lot.
This also is in 2-D mode. I don't like 3-D.

We were running into some 3D crashes with editing while games are in progress. We can let you get to most of the pages, but prevent the 3D page while games are in progress. Just be warned that we can't be liable for things that screw up by editing parks while games are in progress

Hmmmm....PC here, so maybe I'm wandering in a foreign territory. I'll pack my bags for now, then.
