Wrong History Free Agents?

I started an historical league in 2007 as the Marlins. All of a sudden, the GM signed Nick Johnson and Francisco Liriano as Free Agents in Spring Training. Problem is, both of those players belonged to different teams in 2007(In the middle of contracts). Ironically though, they both were injured the whole season in 2007 in real life...still they should be with their respective teams. Anyone else see this with other historical leagues?
