Player options in the middle of contracts. This is huge considering how contracts are worked in real life.

This better be new because otherwise I have been blind for awhile.

And yes Strasburg signed with the dodgers after the 2016 season.

Can you pick any time during the contract for the option? As in if I have a 6 year contract can I put it in year 2 or 4 or 3? Also can you do that for team options and player options as well? Or is that still only for the last two years of the contract?
