Saying goodbye to OOTP16 after 1704 hours (and counting)
Best version ever, and the first that I played almost exclusively on STEAM (minus the first 50-60 hours probably) so I have some idea of how much time I put into it. I have no idea how many different leagues I started, as I delete them after I'm finished. I sim a LOT. Only games I ever play out are Wildcard play-in games, and Game 6s/7s of the World Series. Latest league I'm playing and the first league I'll ever import into a new version it is 2090 (league started in 2013). 75 playoffs, 11 championships, and my favorite player ever had a triple slash of 404/465/682 in the year 2076. First and only 400 hitter in my league.
Had a crazy inexplicable 16 year stretch of no World Series wins between 2064-2080, even with win totals of 124, 119, 118, 113. 4 World Series losses during that run. Strangest evolution in the league is that players require 5 years to reach arbitration and 8 years to reach free agency. I'm stuck at home almost all day long, every day, and OOTP makes my days so much more tolerable. Thank you Markus and company for such an amazing game. Can't wait for the next iteration tomorrow. |

LOL ... I've been known to OD on OOTP in the past ...
I actually took this winter off though, so I am really, really, really ... yes, really ... anxious for OOTP17 release! |

I just checked my OOTP16 time served. 332 hours. I'm embarrassed it's so low.

I have 449, my first year playing the game. Took the past two weeks off, so I'm ready to go far deeper into '17.

Have 572 hours between my two versions. 391 on my MacBook (2015-19 Marlins) and 181 on my iMac (1980-82 Expos). Still searching for the white whale of a title, but I've come closer with the Marlins than the Expos.
No idea what the count is on MLB Manager 15, but I've nuked the tablet's battery off a full charge countless times. Last edited by DrMcAwesome; 03-17-2016 at 10:35 PM. |

Sadly, I do, and I'm not proud of that.

When I switched to Win10 I did a complete set-up of my system, so I hat to install OOTP16 again
So I find this number really shocking - I guess the total number would be between 850 - 900 hours

I'm at home all day too. I play many games (mostly sports) and I was coach so I played every single inning. Got to be a habit so I don't sim in hockey either. I enjoy that. I had about 15 years of being an umpire, training umpire, and umpire in chief for Little League, Babe Ruth, high school baseball and softball, and Legion Ball. Plus a year as the Little League President (insanity). So, I have been through tons of baseball games for every minute right up close. Somehow it makes me appreciate the game more than when I was only a spectator at Padres games when I was in the Marine Corps or the home games of the World Series in Baltimore when I lived there in 4th grade. A classmate was a nephew of Boog Powell and he got our class tickets. Pure awesomeness. But, umpiring is the best. In my decrepit condition OOTP is great!

in fact...many from that board tried to scrutinize this product (which I had no problem with, and thought was a good test) but simply decided on their own, what was good, and what wasn't. I now dare them to look at this excellent product
