Spray Charts

Noob here, suggesting that in addition to the great additions to this year's edition, perhaps there could be research put into the possible addition of batter spray charts for future builds?

I like having the ability to make fielding shifts, and if we could get spray charts I could make more informed adjustments in the outfield. I'm sure it would be a big undertaking for full league charts across all games simulated, but maybe just vs my team to keep it manageable.

Of course, I'm a noob here so if it already exists and I just haven't looked in the right spot, feel free to point out my oversight. Thanks. Keep up the great work, gentlemen.

I can't believe I've never considered this, but it is an excellent suggestion.

I love this idea for a scouting chart.
However I am sure its a huge chore to code this and get the locations of where its a hit and where its an out.

This is an excellent idea, one I've often wondered when it may show up within the game. And as said above, perhaps its inclusion would be too difficult or time consuming to code, however, this and hot and cold zones for batters would be fantastic additions.

I would guess, from what I've read here about how pitch location is handled in game that hot and cold zones are actually impossible to include, but still.... spray charts and hot/cold zones could be a valuable and perhaps eye pleasing way to view one part of a players performance

But isn't the basis for this already in the game? If you have ball locations on when playing out a game, you see where the ball travels, and instant play-by-play will tell you things like 78XD (meaning the ball was hit very deep to left-center field.)

Sounds like it might just be compiling this already-present information into the chart, but then again, I'm not a coder.

The lack of answers by Markus and crew makes me wonder if this feature was added

We have not added it yet, but it's definitely a neat idea to think about getting in in the future.

Thanks for the response, Matt. I'm sure the entire community appreciates how much the developers value our input.

Not saying this wouldn't be neat, but as far as defensive shifts go, it is already summarized for you. You are told what the hitter's tendencies are as far as pulling the ball etc.

It's kind of needed with shifts.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
