Historical Minors question

If I'm playing a historical game in OOTP 17 and I choose a year like 1889, will there also be minor league teams from that time?

No, 1919 is the earliest, It should actually say Historical Affiliated Minor Leagues, as they only cover leagues that are affiliated with Major League Baseball throughout history

Oh okay, that makes sense.

Can I take the Historical Minor Leagues(along with MLB) from 1967 and put them in a current day Fictional World(while keeping MLB on hold for a year)?

Yes if you use templates, you can do almost anything.

Rather than start another historical minor leagues thread, I figured I would just ask here. Is the Central League 1948-1952 included with the game?

It should be as 4 of the 6 teams were affiliated in 1948

Thanks, just had Bob Buhl appear in my random debut league and it got me to thinking of the Saginaw Bears. The park they played in was still around when I was a kid, but it was extremely run down.

I'm also excited to see how Homer Peel does. When my folks first moved to Shreveport, they had season tickets to the Shreveport Captains games. Homer Peel had seats right behind them. He played a ton of minor league ball, so it will be interesting to follow his career.

He had a few partial MLB seasons, but he played for over 20 years. As far as I can tell, you can recreate his entire career from 1924-1946, not counting his 20 year old season in the East Texas League.

Is it possible to just play as just minors?
Like for instance the central league can you start in 1948 and play the 4 seasons 48 to 52 with just that league?

Or even better, go on to 1953 and beyond... If it's not an option, we can wait for it to appear in OOTP 18

What would happen if you took teams from a soon too be defunct league and moved them too other leagues, would they still be around or would they fold their tent and go home(like the NHL Toronto Maple Leafs do on a yearly basis)?

If they didn't fold then move them back to the folding league and re-start the league as a custom league(or something).

That remains to be seen. I swear to god, if the limbo bug isn't fixed...

Here's a historical minors question for you. A few years back, I created a universe where I promoted the Pacific Coast League and International League to major league status under the umbrella of the Continental Baseball League, starting in 1935. If I do that again, will players who are scheduled to make their debut with PCL teams (think Ted Williams with the Padres in 1938) still do that, or will they be in limbo because the PCL isn't a minor league in my game? Is my question as clear as mud?

This has not been tested though
