My question is about the Award Names. With MLB and MLBPA licenses, will the real names of the awards be included? Or will we still have to rename them?

You can specify (same options available as selecting when box scores or game logs are saved).

Where do I set this up - so it generates recaps for every game.

In the general settings, you can specify what options you want for each of box scores, game logs, and so on, and new in 17, for recaps and wpa graphs. If you specify "All Leagues", then they'll be generated for all regular season games.We don't generate for exhibition or playoff games, though.

Yeah, good to note as you review your settings. I believe the default is to Human Teams. If you want 'em all, gotta select 'em all.

Maybe what I visualize it being is far off.. it's a huge reason why I pre-ordered.. not that I wouldn't have or anything.. but I'm most excited for it... especially with the playoffs for me around the corner.

We want to show it off, but as Markus said, to create a video which we can get approved and released, while we're still busy with everything else, likely not going to happen. I definitely won't make a promise, but we'll talk it over to see if we can get TJ to show it off on a Twitch stream maybe Wednesday. But again, no promises

We will know on Friday the 18th, so maybe taking time to show this feature 2 days prior isn't worth your efforts? I am very interested in this, but we are getting to release day very quickly. Just my 2 cents.

Having worked in game development with IP licensing I understand how often the developer's hands are tied. As much as we all would like to see something, at some point that dead horse has had enough beating. I for one can hold out a few more days until my preorder is released.

Approved? If Markus approves a video.. what more do you need?

If 3D is not ready, just say it. I'm fine with that.. but if it's working and ready to go (game is released in a week) then why wouldn't you want to show it off? This makes no sense to me.

Just to explain a bit further, hope this helps you out...

Markus and T.J. have explained a couple times already why OOTP wouldn't want to show it off.

To post any videos, screenshots, previews etc. requires the approval of both MLB and the MLBPA and the process of getting them to approve takes a great deal of time, more weeks than days, and that's more time than there is left before the release of the game frankly.

Plus it takes time to make the video, and everyone involved in putting out the game is working around the clock at this point.

If you're really concerned about the feature, and it's the tipping point for you, just wait till after the release, there will be plenty of info posted on the forums by users as to how the feature works at that point.

I know this isn't ideal, but the days when this was just Markus and Andreas making a game on their own and doing whatever they want are long gone!

There's a lot more involved in even something as simple as posting a preview video now and all of that unfortunately makes doing some of the stuff OOTPD would like to do, and you'd like to see somewhat impractical given the time constraints and logistics involved.

There are screenshots of MLB logos and players.. so maybe that had to get approval too, I don't know the process I just find it odd.

I'll drop it though and check it out in 6 days. I'm expecting a WIP and know it will continue to improve along the way.
