Young Player you're excited to play with
I know of most of Baseball America's top prospects and think the game does a good job with them.... I am curious what young player are you most excited to play with or trade for in your organization.
I was watching the D-Backs and Padres last night and I saw a guy not super young, but still green named Jabari Blash. Wow does he look intimidating in the box. He is big and tall and has a nasty swag to him thats just imposing in the box. He is already 26 and is now going to be on the Padres roster, do to him being picked as a Rule 5 from Seattle. Maybe I am out of it, but being from the east coast I had never heard of the kid and wow does he look like a ball of raw talent, I wonder how OOTP will depict him? I will make a bold prediction here as, I have spent all more morning reading and researching Blash. Blash is a late bloomer, but will be an MLB All Star in next 2 years and will be dominant. ![]() Jabari Blash Stats, Fantasy & News | padres.com from another article Let?s Talk About Jabari Blash | FanGraphs Baseball Of the 338 Triple-A hitters who have recorded at least 200 plate appearances this season, only two have an isolated-power (ISO) mark north of .300. The first is Richie Shaffer, an interesting Rays prospect who spent some time in the big leagues this season. The second is a player by the name of Jabari Blash. No, that’s not a character from Harry Potter, or even an Edith Wharton novel. Jabari Blash is a real, live outfielder in the Mariners organization. Last edited by RBPD5015; 03-10-2016 at 10:42 AM. |

The title probably could have been worded in a more appropriate way...

Thor definitely counts. He turned out to be a dud in my current league (started in 14). Had a good year and a half for me, and I was able to trade him in a package for Jurickson Profar, and he immediately posted a 6.00-plus ERA for Texas.

I also look foward to using blash as im obviously a big fan of the padres (as evidenced by my avatar) so hopefully they give him good ratings. I also hope he turns out good in real life as well

SP Marcus Stroman Blue Jays, has the potential to become a legend imo. Apparently he is now experimenting with the quick pitch to mess with the batter's timing.

Did not know this but I love it. Cueto's been using unusual pitch timings to good effect for a little while now, have been wondering why I don't see more guys at least trying this. Seems like if one could throw it out a few times a game they put hitters on the back foot.

Any of the Pirates top prospects, since I live in Indianapolis, will be fun to watch develop in OOTP.

No particular player, I just enjoy seeing where talented prospects with little or no career MLB stats at the start of the game end up finishing on the all-time leaderboard. For that matter, I also enjoy seeing where "future Hall of Famers" (i.e. Mike Trout) end up on the leaderboard, too.

I didn't realize it at the time but Archie Bradley of the Arizona Diamonbacks I traded for him and he became my HOF starting pitcher for my club and when I realized it then I started to watch him in the minors more closely
I also traded for Jose Fernandez as well since a co worker suggested I trade for him and he would fill in my rotation nicely and he also became the best player I ever had. HOF is understatement. I watch him closely too. |

To answer to OP's question:
Every 1st round pick that never made it to the bigs. I plan to play many, many, many historical seasons with this years game. Just soooo excited to watch the OOTP development engine take these guys wherever it wants to.

I'll be playing the Milwaukee Brewers, and since they're rebuilding and have lots of younger players, that's gonna cover it for me.
