I have got a question about starting a random debut league

I tried to do one earlier and it told me to choose a team to manage I want to manage the Boston Red Stockings and I figured that out, but where I had my problem was figuring out how to set up my minor leagues and where I select the random debut players and I would like this to be an alternate universe play with real players, teams, minor leagues where I am will relive the season with players on different teams rather than what they are known for, I guess what I am asking is....is this possible, also once I start the season how do I sim the other league games but play mine, today I could play mine but I had to watch the others and I just want to sim the others, I looked in the online manuel but could not find anything in the manual, so I want to say thanks for all the help in advance

I would avoid minor leagues with random debut at this particular point. There just aren't enough players in the database to make it feasible at the moment. I would play with unlimited reserve rosters instead. In order to get players on teams other than what they are known for hold an inaugural draft and then do an annual amateur draft. I use five rounds for mine because with a reserve roster you don't want too many players or they'll pile up pretty quickly.

There's a setting to get the rest of the league to sim in the background while you play your game when you go into the game to do a final check over your lineups before playing your game. It says "simulate world in background". Click on "Yes (enables Baseball News Network)" for that and you'll get what I think you're looking for.
