Couldn't say with any authority. Probably resources—or more accurately, a perception of what resources would be needed (which may be incorrect)—is likely a large part. I'd personally say there is also a certain bias or preference on the part of the beta testing group toward certain matters over others, and that has an influence I think. But that's strictly my opinion.

This forum is absolutely full of small, feisty minorities, my own stats-only group included.

I agree with you. I would go so far as to say it's been obvious.

There is a certain measure of danger in echo chamber thinking, when all one hears is of a certain opinion, or a narrow range of opinion. That necessarily closes off other avenues of thought and ideas, and some potentially great things may never get considered because they've been drowned out. One cannot predict with absolute certainty just where a new idea might lead...

One thing that could be added to adjust on association playoff play is how the playoff stats are coded. Right now, it counts toward the league playoff stats of each home team instead of towards the association. Would love to see it look something like this:
Player X, Year, LG John Doe, 2017, CSA (League Association) Right now, it looks like this: John Doe, 2017, LG1 (current league) John Doe, 2017, LG2 (first-round association opponent; road game stats) John Doe, 2017, LG3 (Round 2 association opponent, road game stats) Example: RHP Wade Davis, Los Angeles Dodgers. Has entire 2017 MLB post-season statistics counted WITH home playoff games against the KBO & *** champions. Kinda odd to see the MLB single-season record for saves in a post-season being 14...when that is not even possible! |

Can you manually schedule regular season games between teams in associations?
I have tried this in the past with teams that weren't in associations and it would separate player stats. If a team played on the road ,the stats would go towards the home team's league. The player's stats would be correct but separated when playing on the road. Plus the team's road W-L records wouldn't add up correctly playing road games in another league. |
