Sounds
This is one area that doesn't seem to have much by the way of explanation of what the game will load in as sounds. For instance the game will actually play intros for players if there is a sound file under the players name when they come to bat but this isn't something that is widely known.
What I'd like to know and maybe Markus or Matt could let us know is what file names will be read by the game and played. For instance most of the files have numbers after them but is there a limit to what number the game will read and play? Ambient for example goes up to 9 but does it just play them at random so say a file ambient with any number at the end could be played? If so then there are a lot of modding opportunities with this to enhance the in game sound. This is something really worth doing I think particularly now the 3d game is starting to take shape and evolve, it could really add to the atmosphere of watching/reading the game pan out. So, Markus, if you read this, could you shed some light on what the game will read from the sounds folder. Thanks ![]() Edit: I see from here http://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com/...tomizing-sound that it does indeed read them randomly so that answers that part. Are the sound names in the sounds folder the full options of what the game will look for? Ie, bunt, strike, cheer etc, or are there others like the players intros that will be played if it finds them? Last edited by Matt Uk; 03-04-2016 at 09:40 AM. |
