Any chance this will be fixed in 17? I'm not a professional coder, of course, but it seems like a pretty simple bug to fix.

As would I. The European league we have in our online league, about 75% of the players had unknowns as their hometowns and every player in the last draft for said league had unknown as well.

Glad there's support from some solid long-time users. To me this is a high priority bug because it makes an existing feature (regions) extremely frustrating to use, on the verge of unusable in a domestic regions league when you combine it with owner goals of finding players near your town.

Just speculating but I'd guess if it was such a small fix, it would of been made already. But I agree, hopefully it can be looked at this year.
