Manager input in GM decisions

Sometimes when I am playing as a manager the AI will make decisions that aren't really logical. For example they called up a starter and sent down my 4th who was having a good year and also signed a 32-year old infielder who hadn't played in the MLB for 3 years to a 6 year 40 million dollar contract I think having some input in the AI GM decisions as a manager would be a big help

I think that would be helpful. I'm currently doing a full start up with all the international leagues enabled and have started out at Rimini in the Italian League to see if I can work my way up to the MLB over time. Anyway, on my reserve roster are two players who are ranked 3rd and 6th in the best players in the league report but the AI GM will not put them onto the active roster. Neither are blocked by good players, one of those on the active roster is a SS and a real scrub hitting below .200. Also the SS in the reserve roster was also part of an incoming trade so it would seem very odd to leave him in the reserve roster.
