Laredo does not have enough players

The farm system in this game is so poor and if 17 is like this I will insist on a refund. Get that out of the way.Historical league, September first year. Double AA team, with AI controlling farm clubs, has 9 pitchers and 4 players. Message pops up on a given day in August stating the AA team has 8 players, with all pitchers. Don't get it. But I force fictional players. Nothing happens first click. Second attempt, all AAA players have been moved to AA. Then I click it again. Until AA has 36 players, AAA has 16. Fiddle around, delete players, move players.This has ALWAYS been a problem with this game. Ghost players, fictional players, blah blah. FIX THIS RIDICULOUS ASPECT OF THE GAME BEFORE YOU RELEASE OOTP 17. And your forum software doesn't recognize a carriage return. What?

You should look a little more into Historical because you are doing it wrong.
Historical does not have enough players to support farm systems. The DB for Historical imports players the year they started MLB not the minors.
I recommend selecting "Allow incomplete minor league rosters" (Ghost Players). This will resolve your problem. Look into Historical play, it is awesome, you are doing it wrong.

No. In the setup screen for the Historical, it states 'Please specify if you want the minor leagues to require complete rosters. If enabled, the game will fill the minor leagues with fictional players.'
Ok, that should mean that if I want to play 1921 NYY with AAA and AA, that after player generation, I should have full rosters, with a player at every position in all 3 leagues. Doesn't it? In any case, it doesn't. I'm missing 3B and CF in AA, and have too many pitchers.

Like I said, this needs to be worked on SERIOUSLY before putting out OOTP 17.

Well, not every player is in their database, there are around 15 thousand players to ever play in the MLB, not to mention the thousands that also played in the Minors but never made it into the MLB, if you really want the one guy from 1921 who never made it past double A then go ahead and complain, I don't see how that is possible unless you want people to go out and scout out every player in the history of baseball.

I would think what you are thinking. Did you select "Fictional Players Cannot Make Majors"? or what it is correctly called.
Is it your minors that are incomplete? Sometimes it is a team in another organization.
How many seasons have you simmed? I an guessing none but just checking.

In 17 it should not be this issue because the Minors should be full with real players.

OOTP 17 has added something like 1500 historical minor leaguers. So technically they are fixing the "problem" (personally I just use ghost players and block fictional players from entering the league)

I think your criticism is a little over the top, but as the other poster said use ghost players or fill with fictional players that should fix your problem.
